Stephen Mwachofi Singo is Deputy Director at the Security Research & Information Centre (SRIC) in Kenya. His background combines both academic and practical policy experience on Peace and Security issues, having worked for over seven years as Director for the Peace and Security Programme at the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR), a regional intergovernmental organization based in Bujumbura, Burundi.

Singo is a graduate of Moi University and the University of Nairobi. He is currently Lecturer at the Department of Political Science, University of Nairobi where he teaches Security Studies and Comparative Politics. He is also currently a Doctoral student in Public Policy at the University of Nairobi.
