Sahar Vardi is a researcher and campaigner on issues of militarism in Israel, and the export of Israeli militarism worldwide. Previously she worked with the American Friends Service Committee researching Israeli military export and import as well as training, and the human rights violations these are involved in. She founded the Database on Israeli Military and Security Export (dimse.info). In recent years she has researched the climate footprint of militaries and military action with a focus on Palestine-Israel, and is working with the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation on a global campaign for reduction in military spending.

Vardi attended the University of Bradford as a Rotary Fellow, and received an MA in Peace Studies, writing her thesis on military climate mitigation plans in the U.S., UK, EU and New Zealand.
