Natalie Briggs is a Program Officer at New York University's Center on International Cooperation (CIC), where she coordinates the Gender Equality Network for Small Arms Control (GENSAC) and contributes to the Halving Global Violence initiative. Her work focuses on gender-responsive approaches to small arms control, armed violence prevention, and multilateral disarmament processes.

Before joining CIC, she served as a Policy Adviser at the Norwegian Mission to the United Nations in New York, covering disarmament and non-proliferation issues during Norway’s Security Council term. Prior to joining the Norwegian Mission, she worked with organizations such as the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research, Pathfinders for Peaceful, Just & Inclusive Societies and the International Action Network on Small Arms on projects focused on disarmament and small arms control.

​Briggs is also a former member of the Forum on the Arms Trade’s 2022-2023 Emerging Experts cohort. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Politics from New York University and a master’s degree in International Affairs from The New School. ​
