Magda Coss Nogueda
Magda Coss Nogueda is an independent consultant and the founder of 24-0 México, an NGO dedicated to gun violence prevention and international arms control. She has worked since 2006 with the International Action Network on Small Arms (IANSA), first, as a spokesperson for Latin America and later, through different exchanges and collaborations. She is the author of the book Arms Trafficking in Mexico: A Culture of Violence. She has also published numerous other publications that analyze the effects of armed violence.
Coss is an expert on gun control, gender and communication strategies on violence prevention. She is also a member and supporter of many civil society initiatives including IANSA, Gun Policy, Control Arms, GENSAC, Pathfinders, and the Campaign to Stop Killer Robots. She was the organizer of several events on armed violence prevention, such as two editions of the International Academic Meeting on Armed Violence Prevention, and has been invited to offer conferences in New York, Berlin, Santiago, Buenos Aires and Lima, among others.
