Ari Tolany is the Director of the Security Assistance Monitor (SAM) program at the Center for International Policy. Previously, Tolany advocated for a more transparent and accountable arms trade as the U.S. Program Manager at the Center for Civilians in Conflict (CIVIC). She also served as a Scoville Fellow at the Stimson Center and a Brumley Fellow at the Strauss Center for International Law & Security. She holds a B.A. in International Relations and Global Studies and an M.A. in Middle Eastern Studies, both with high honors at the University of Texas at Austin.
